This photo is of Shot (don't know his real name--maybe Walter?) and Nell--2 of Joe's siblings.
Aunt Nell, as the kids called her, was one of our favorite aunts and helped raise Joe when his parents died. She lived in Sudbury and owned a home on Manitoulin Island (where we went to many times before owning the camp). Great spot! We kids always had a close relationship with her and enjoyed many a game of "cribbage" at her kitchen table.
Yes, Shot's given name was Walter. Don't know why he was called "Shot." Hope it didn't have to do with guns. Maybe it had to do with booze.

"Shot" was a nickname short for "Buck Shot" don't know how the "Buck Shot" originated.His real name was Walter.
